Mark your calendars! The next West Coast edition of the Symposium on Radiation Measurements and Applications, SORMA West 2016, will be held May 22-26, 2016.
Exclusive Thematic Focus: Homeland and National Security Applications
SORMA West 2016 will focus exclusively on radiation detection for homeland and national security applications — their challenges, the advances, and the lessons learned throughout the demonstrations of recent years.
The program will include both oral and poster presentations as well as plenary talks you won’t want to miss. Industrial exhibits will showcase solutions to your technology needs.
For 2016, SORMA West will return to its roots at the University of California, Berkeley. We’ll be in the conference facility at the Clark Kerr Campus, just off the main campus. Conveniently accessible from the OAK and SFO airports via public transit, this venue will offer affordable dormitory style housing on-premises to cultivate interaction, as well as nearby hotel options. To further cultivate interaction, breakfast and lunch will be provided on-site for all registered attendees.
Taking full advantage of our location in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area, we’ll also have a lively social program, as well as suggestions to explore on your own.
Please save these dates on your calendar and revisit this website for further updates as these exciting plans unfold… and don’t forget to tell your colleagues! We look forward to seeing you in Berkeley for an interesting and rewarding Symposium with a new focus on some of the most important motivations and applications of our work.
