Registration

Arriving outside normal business hours? The registration desk for Clark Kerr Campus lodging is open from 7 am-11 pm. There is a conference clerk on call for off-hours arrivals. Guests can use the call box (located to the right of the entrance to the lobby) to call the clerk, who will then meet them and check them in to their rooms.

The conference registration desk will be open nearby 3-6 pm Sunday so you can get your badge, meal tickets, parking pass if applicable, etc. (Join us also 4-6 for light hors d’oevures in this area.) On Monday morning, conference registration will move to the vicinity of the Joseph Wood Krutch Theatre, the site of our opening plenaries.

For your “one-stop shopping” convenience, lodging at Clark Kerr Campus is reserved through the conference registration website. So is signup for two optional events — the Tuesday-evening conference banquet and Wednesday-afternoon excursions (which do not interfere with the technical program). You may go back in and add these items even if you have already registered for the conference.

Click here to go directly to the secure registration site at CVENT
That page will open in a new window. The registration button will be at its upper right corner.

Walk-up registration will be possible, but advance registration through the website makes everything easier.

Options

On the registration site, you can choose an optional Wednesday-afternoon excursion at an additional $25 for any registered attendee, $75 for a companion; the fee includes a gourmet box lunch. There are two choices: a San Francisco Bay cruise aboard President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s motor yacht, USS Potomac; or a docent-guided exploration of the Blackhawk Automotive Museum, followed by a tour and tasting at Wente Vineyards. The excursions are great opportunities for networking and informal, in-depth discussion as part of an immersive conference experience and have traditionally been very popular. Our Social Program page has details. The technical program takes a break during these events, so you won’t miss a thing.

The registration site also lets you opt in for the Tuesday-evening conference banquet at $25 for a registered attendee and $75 for a companion.

Parking is an extra-cost item at Clark Kerr Campus. You can purchase a full-conference (Sunday through Thursday) parking pass for $70 at the Cvent conference registration website before April 24. On April 24 the fee goes up to $100. Parking in the area is in short supply, and we discourage attendees from bringing a car.

*Attendees who choose the Student category need to provide proof of student eligibility by emailing a copy of a student status certificate or ID card to our IEEE conference registrar by May 10 AND by bringing an original student status certificate or ID card to the registration desk in Berkeley. If official proof of student status is not provided, the participant will be required to pay the full non-student registration fee to attend the conference. Postdoctoral researchers (“postdocs”) do NOT qualify for the reduced Student registration rates.

All fees are in US dollars. The early registration deadline is was midnight Eastern daylight time (GMT-4) on April 23. All classes of registration include breakfast & lunch Monday-Thursday, as well as evening receptions.
