Monday Evening: Welcome Reception and NSSC Phase II Kickoff

A Monday-night reception at Clark Kerr Campus is free to attendees and companions. Join us in celebrating the launch of the next phase of the UC-Berkeley-led Nuclear Science and Security Consortium as it continues training the next generation of nuclear security experts.

Prior to the reception, a brief seminar will highlight the NSSC’s achievements and plans. David LaGraffe, Director of the Office of Proliferation Detection at the National Nuclear Security Administration, will introduce NSSC Principal Investigator Jasmina Vujic and Executive Director Karl van Bibber. They will survey the NSSC’s impact thus far and introduce the new partners. National-laboratory collaboration will be the subject of a concluding talk by Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Director Bill Goldstein.

During the reception a poster session will showcase NSSC student research, conducted in collaboration with our national laboratory partners.
